The excursion day starts with a bus transfer to the town of Königswinter.

From there, you can either take the Drachenfelsbahn or hike to the mountain station of the Drachenfels.

At the top, there is the Drachenfels plateau with access to the Drachenfels restaurant, where small snacks in the form of various drinks and pretzels will be provided.

Further up, past the restaurant, the historic Drachenfels Ruins can be visited.

Before it’s time to head back, a small detour will be made to the middle station of the Drachenfelsbahn, where “Schloss Drachenburg” is located, which can be explored on the participants own initiative.

Afterwards, two passenger ships will be waiting at the banks of the Rhine in Königswinter, allowing for a scenic journey back to downtown Bonn while enjoying the idyllic landscape along the Rhine.
